David and his wife and have been Surrey residents since 1986 and love the city. He served with the RCMP for forty-three years where he worked to build bridges as an officer. He has always wanted to give back to his city and worked with business and community groups to establish a much-needed homeless facility in Cloverdale. He also serves through Options Community Services Society on the Board of Directors and Servants Anonymous and is currently a member of the Cloverdale Legion, Cloverdale Rotary Club and Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of his community involvement, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002, was recognized as Police Officer of the Year in 2006 and in 2012 was awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Medal. He has been on Surrey city council since November 2014 and loves serving his city there.
