  • Improving community amenities that come with development
  • Ensuring park and school sites are secure before new development occurs
  • Taking an active role in regional economic development marketing
  • Looking at increasing economic investment zones and business centres
  • Developing employee/acre targets for industrial land development
  • Encouraging office space development further in city centre
  • Enhancing the economic development office to attract jobs and investment
  • Ensuring we have sufficient rental housing built to help keep rents affordable as we grow
  • Working with other governments to add an additional metro Vancouver regional park
